Cloud PC users

Everyone who holds a Cloud PC tier, read live from your Microsoft 365 directory. Seatvane keeps no copy of these names.

Getting ready

Microsoft assigns the licenses, then Windows 365 builds the Cloud PC. If a build fails, Microsoft retries it twice before marking it failed. This page refreshes itself every minute until every Cloud PC is ready.

Active means the account is enabled and signed in to Microsoft 365 in the last 30 days. Inactive means enabled but no sign-in in that time, or never.

Over time

People with a Cloud PC over the last 90 daysThe trend appears after two days of history.

Counted from a live read of your directory each time this page opens and every six hours; the last complete read of a day is that day's count. Seatvane keeps the counts only, never who they were.

Give someone a Cloud PC

The person needs a Microsoft 365 account with a usage location. Create the account in the Microsoft 365 admin center first if they do not have one, without a license when Cloud PC setup assigns the Microsoft 365 licenses through the tier. Microsoft then asks for your password to confirm, as it does for every change; Seatvane keeps no copy of that sign-in.

Search your directory, and see who Seatvane suggests for a Cloud PC

How your people connect

Once a Cloud PC is ready, its owner signs in with their own work account at windows.cloud.microsoft (Devices, then Connect), or with Windows App, which Microsoft recommends for everyday use: Windows · macOS · iPhone and iPad · Android. Seatvane cannot sign in for them. You can copy this message to send them:

Your people can also find answers, with no sign-in, in Help for Cloud PC users: connecting, copying files, printing and blocked websites.

Suggestions

Seatvane only suggests. Nothing changes unless an administrator acts.

People

Every change here is confirmed with your own Microsoft sign-in. Microsoft opens with your account filled in and asks for your password, plus your usual approval if your organization requires one, every time, even for two changes in a row. That is deliberate: nobody can change your people's access through Seatvane without you, and each change appears in your Microsoft audit log under your name.

Removing a Cloud PC releases its license, but Microsoft keeps the Cloud PC for a 7-day grace period and the person can still use it until then. Disabling the account is what blocks access: it stops new sign-ins and revokes the person's sessions, and keeps their Cloud PC. For someone leaving, do both, and disable first: once the Cloud PC license is gone, an administrator whose role is limited to Cloud PC users can no longer change the account.

To turn on strict data protection for chosen people, run Cloud PC setup again: it adds the group and Intune policy and changes nothing already there.

Cloud PCs in their grace period

These Cloud PCs have lost their license and will be removed by Microsoft when the grace period ends; until then their owner can still use them. Ending it now removes the Cloud PC and its data immediately and cannot be undone.
